Let Me Entertain You

Don’t consume content.

Create.

Not “create content,” but CREATE.

Creating content will not make you content.

Because it is not creating to be creative, it’s “Art for arts sake.”

But even worse, it’s “creating to create… Cash.”

At least “Art for art’s sake” (Benjamin and no) is about making something; creating content is solely about creating something that gets you something (views and cash).

You start videotaping everything, “just in case it’ll work in a video!” and start writing things down that aren’t worth the paper they’re written on.

You’re activating a treadmill that has you walking forever, but never getting anywhere, a hamster wheel that has you running in circlesforever.

“Content” has no content. It’s empty calories, a time-waster for you and the person consuming it.

The days are evil, friend. Don’t be idle.

Being entertained is being idle, and entertainment is or soon becomes an idol.

Serve someone other than yourself, but more importantly, serve God, accomplishing His Will and Purpose for your life.

(That’s the most-fulfilling–and the most fun!–way to spend the rest of your days.)
