So often, we focus on His Kindness In Offering us (and Making Possible for us!) Salvation…

…but focus less upon His Kindness and TRULY-Kind Care (as my Grandfather used to say) in the day-to-day trials and tribulations.

Or ask Him for stuff and forget to say THANKS, LORD! when we’re past it.

Or even, if you’re anything like me, realise that God DOES Want to hear from us about our feelings, our “failings,” our flailings, our felicitations, even–but then be like “Um, but He Was and IS Totally THERE (aka HERE IN MOI!) and literally HEARD everything that happened! Why I gotta bore Him or even ‘waste’ our time together in recounting what He totally KNOWS already???”

Not coz we’re hiding it, not even coz we don’t wanna “do the work” of processing it and learning it, but literally “why do I NEED to tell Him when He HERE?”

aka

“Even tho He WANTS me to get close To Him… He ASKS me to hang out With Him… why do I need to? Even if it makes Him Happy?”

Jeremiah 33:3 says “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and hidden things that you do not know“

aka how can we expect to hear From Him if we don’t even say anything ever?

1 Corinthians 3:16, Hebrews 3:1, Isaiah 59:21 and tons of other gems also tell us that He Wants to interact With Him, not just “set it and forget it,” aka “I be saved now, so like, thanks and see Ya! Maybe! Like after I die! But for now, Big G, buh-bye!!”

Once I looked at it from that perspective, I very quickly received From Him several songs about the whole (perhaps one-sided? Lol) “discussion.”

This is one of my favourites of that lot.
