Good evening everyone, welcome to another one of my god given musings here at MM. It’s your friend MB here. Shall we get started?

So today, I’ve been thinking a lot about the state of the world as a whole. There is so much disorder, chaos, and backwards thinking that have permeated existence on this earth.

It’s left everyone searching for peace. Desperately turning over every rock they can find like it’s some sort of tiny creature hiding from them.

I’m here to tell you that peace is not found in any thing on this earth. But instead, it is found with the creator of all things, The Almighty YHWH, the triune God of the Israelites… the great I AM.

We humans cannot and will not find true peace without him. His peace is the only peace that lasts. It is so perfect and profound that it surpasses all understanding.

Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

John 16:33  “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

John 14:27 ~ Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Colossians 3:15 ~ And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

This is just a handful of the verses centered around peace that can be found in God’s word.

The reason so many people don’t have peace today is because they seek it in other things besides Lord Jesus.  

He tells us himself in John 16:33 that he has overcome the world. That means he has won the victory over everything there is. Everything that stresses you out, everything that frightens you … everything that taxes you beyond belief has been defeated by him, has been subjugated by him.

If we would all just internalize that fact, the world wouldn’t seem so stressful or scary and it certainly wouldn’t be so chaotic as it is now.

Everyone is trying to find meaning for themselves in something.

However, only those who find their meaning in Christ Jesus will ever find the truth. It is only through him that the seemingly never-ending war inside ourselves will ever be won.

It is only through him that the chaotic storm of life can be tamed and peace restored. He is Jehovah shalom, the Lord of peace.

Giving your life to him and allowing him to guide you is the only way to find true and lasting peace. His eternal peace surpasses all understanding. Nothing else that you could possibly find will do anything for you that comes even remotely close to what he can.
