(Was discussing with a very dear friend “what does it mean to trust God? To REST In God? This is what I said:

“Well… in my life for example, I’m a planner. I love taking care of arrangements (Not like planning every second of itinerary on a trip lol but just having a hotel for example.) and God Has me waiting to Hear what name (quality inn, Airbnb etc) He wants me to book in. (We lost the house wer staying in previously)

and I know that I know that I KnOW He Knows in advance where we shall stay.

But He Does not tell me till it’s like 8pm that day.

So there’s lots of uncertainty in the “where” and “how.” But I know that I know that I know He will come through !

Even if we have to sleep in a wal mart parking lot.

Before, it was “He won’t let this happen.”

But now it’s “even if He Does let it happen, it’s fine.”

And sometimes it does not feel fine. Sometimes it’s like … agh. It hurts.

So to me, learning to rest In Him means that I “let” Him choose, and I’m learning to not hate “choices that ain’t mine” quite so much. Hehe.

I hope that made sense (it did when I typed it but that’s been known to happen… until I read it again. Lol.

I pray we both keep learning to trust Him! I think it’s a lifelong process 🙂 (at least it will take me that long. But I’m pretty slow. Lol
