To My Sister

(Well, oldest friend. But she’s practically my sister and I love her as I love my bio-sisters, so bip bop, pork chop.)

I hate that you have to walk on eggshells or feel that you need to, or feel like you can’t breathe or find solace and sanctuary.

That you feel like you have to do more and better than your very best—more than is humanly possible—and it’s still not good enough at school or at home.

I want to get you out of that situation and give you a job where people will be grateful for you and hang upon your every word. Where you will make an impact… the impact you were born to make (and equipped By God to accomplish in and on the earth).
