“Sally, your posts don’t seem personal at all. Are you ai?”
Hah, “ai” wish. (Not!)
Social media feels like fishing for compliments to me. That or affirmation. Or turning myself into a brand.
Just like, curated and staged and smile for the camera before going back to regular expression. Or glowering and smouldering and then going back to being a goof.
(Or doing that demonic “tongue out” pose that people don’t realise is offensive, rude, gross, and/or, erm, demonic. (Article on that later, tho. But for now just know that many affected by epilepsy do not think it’s cute or funny at all.)
The people that need to know what I ate for breakfast or how I wept over burning my tabouleh (don’t ask lol) already know, or probably don’t care.
Don’t be so busy photographing your food that you forget to taste it.
Don’t be so busy looking for love and “someone to care about hearing your every mood” online that you miss all the love around you.
Don’t be so busy posting your every mood and symptom and gourmet dinner and “social proof of life” online that you end up not really living.
So. Am I real or am I ai?
I’m real. But The Kingdom Of God is more real—and more important—than that.
So just read the Wisdom that He Has me share here as more important than my latest fiasco (and there are many :))
Much love to every single person I’ve ever talked to, counseled, taught, learned from, loved, been vexed with, fangirled over, “etc.” (the list could go on. Lol.)
