If prayer is meant to change God’s Will, then It may not have been so strong in the first place.

And/or, if I am able to just, like, CHOOSE what I want to happen, is it that He Is Santa or that He Doesn’t Care? (Or even that I am every bit as “god-like” As I AM?)

And if we’re supposed to pray (as Did Jesus), “Not MY will but THY Will be done!” Instead of “as I will, so let it be!” (Which is witchcraft— whether you “fast and pray” for that new car, or break out the eye of newt.)

And while we examining weird doctrines, then let us not forget abt the notion that

“praying harder = more power” which really reminds me of works-based Salvation.

Aka “The harder I pray, the more I fill up The Prayer Meter ™ and the closer I am to breakthrough.”

One part of me wishes it DID work that way, but MOST of me is SO GLAD that it doesn’t!

Because, as I once learned—actually, that story would take too long, and ain’t no WAY you’d believe me, so, let’s just leave it at this:

May only YOUR Will be done, o LORD. You totally rock! We LOVE You, we TRUST You, and we NEED You this day and every day!

Let Your MATCHLESS grace and mercy abound!
