Once upon a time, we were thinking of places to get a sandwich for lunch. I looked with dismay at my firehouse subs app, which usually had two large subs for $20. (This is still way out of our budget for the day, much less for one meal, but two of the three are battling colds and I can’t deal with anything now. Sorry. Hmph.)

Anyway, under “offers,” the usual 2 for 20 promotion was nowhere to be found, and I found myself lamenting. 

Anyway! Long story short, God pushed me to look at Instacart under pickup options, and further led me to Subway® and… aw, man—no 2 for 20 type deal. 

They didn’t have 2 foot longs for $20… but they DID have a “BOGO,” aka buy one get one.  

And it was for 12.99. 

That’s two foot-long subs… for $12.99!!

Adding in tax, we had lunch sorted out for just-under $14!

 What I had been lamenting (“they don’t have the same deal as Firehouse! :(((“ ended up in saving five dollars and having an even yummier experience. 

Sometimes we fixate on one outcome and don’t even realize that God has it covered—more efficiently, more expediently, and more deliciously than we ever could have imagined.
