All of us, all humans were born into the family of sin and rebellion.

But those of us who follow Jesus have abandoned that lineage; those of us who follow Jesus have put away forever that cursed bloodline we were born into.

Those of us who follow Jesus have been reborn into a new family, a family that has been around since before time began, and who will be around well after time ends.

We were born into the lineage of slaves, slaves to sin, slaves to depravity, slaves to disobedience, slaves to darkness.

But now that we have been adopted into the family of God, now that we are sons and daughters of the most high, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, Adonai, Elohim, Jesus himself…we are no longer slaves.

We are royalty, we are dressed in his royal robes, we fly his royal colors, we are no longer slaves, but heirs to His eternal Victory.
