Satan is clever, he is smart, he is a tactician that has seen every battle in human history, every plan, every strategy… He’s seen them all… He’s studied them all, and he will use his knowledge against you. He knows that true followers of God will not be easy to sway. He knows that true followers of God will not fall for traditionally forbidden temptations. For example, someone who follows God truly will not easily commit sexual immorality of any kind. Someone who follows God truly, won’t steal. Someone who follows God truly, won’t be violent so they won’t kill anyone.
Knowing this, Satan will tempt us, those who try to follow God every day of our lives with different things and in different ways.
I have learned that there is no way that we can know everything that he will tempt us with throughout our entire lives.
Why? He’s been around for millennia.
He has a bag of tricks more vast than we could ever imagine.
His cunning is what makes him dangerous.
He can take something that isn’t inherently sinful and turn it into sin just for you.
For example, in my own life, he has tried to do this, and he succeeded for many years.
Up until recently, I was very much addicted to youtube.
This is not inherently sinful, but the content that can be found on youtube by a large majority is. There are many things that can be found on that website that are against God.
False teachings, heresy, sexually immoral thought and speech, themes like homosexuality, being celebrated and elevated while God’s perfect design is sneered at, laughed at, mocked, ridiculed, pushed back against at every turn and so much more.
Witchcraft is not only celebrated, but it’s taught.
Yes, there are many good things on YouTube but it is far too easy to stumble into the bad.
It is far too easy to not only open a door in your life to demons, but to outright welcome them in when consuming that content.
You can become addicted to being constantly fed content like that, spending hours upon hours, staring at a screen doing nothing productive.
I did much of that for many years. It is only now that I am finally pulling myself out from under that rock that had been crushing me.
That is just one way that Satan has tried to tempt me throughout my life.
I warn you that he is certainly tempting you in some way shape, form, or fashion that doesn’t seem sinful to you.
I encourage you to bring your daily routines to God. In all of his wisdom, let him evaluate—and elevate!—what you do every day.
He will tell you what you need to avoid and what you need to start doing.
He wrote your entire life story, he knows what’s best.
Let God lead you by the hand!
Don’t let the devil drag you by your nose…
