One time I was driving with a friend of mine who had only been used to driving part of the way somewhere.
They had never been fully unleashed on the road to drive an entire route somewhere.
When we left the driveway about 5 feet later they said “how am I doing?“ I reminded them that we were still in the safe Haven that was my development where I lived.
This meaning that I couldn’t really evaluate how they were doing because they hadn’t yet been put out into the open road where real driving takes place.
They got me thinking that it’s a lot how life is.
God will keep us away from people while he teaches us so that we can learn his voice, his desires and how he wants things done.
When he says we’re ready, he will put us in a situation that is a real bona fide and live situation like how a driving instructor takes a student driver out on the open road when they seem ready.
God will give us the manual a.k.a. the Bible that teaches us how we’re supposed to act, how we’re supposed to think and what we’re supposed to do to be in accordance with how he wants his children to function in this world.
He will teach us through his word through prayer and through everyday life how he wants us to do things before he puts us in a ministerial place if that is what is will for us entails.
Because once you’re in the place of a minister, you’re out on the open road and anything can happen.
MARANATHA!!!
