What Isn’t Salvation?

What Isn’t Salvation?

There’s stuff in life that’s great to do, but doesn’t mean you’re “doing great.”

Particularly in the area of being truly Saved, or “spending eternity WITH Jesus and NOT in hell with the loser lucifer and his gros.” (Aka Gross Bros, aka demons, for whom hell was actually Created.)

So, let’s have a look at some stuff that is GREAT TO DO, but that does NOt ensure your salvation.

Or “accurately indicate” your salvation.

Or even lead to your salvation…

Going to church, even if it’s every Sunday.

Even if you serve there every Sunday.

Even if you preach at the pulpit.

Reading The Bible, even if you journal about The Word all the day long.

Posting powerful passages (and or paraphrased precepts) Of The Bible, no matter how many people are impacted by it (or even come to the faith from that planted seed!).

Understanding The Bible, even if you really do.

“Believing that The Bible Is True” … which demons also do.

Quoting The Bible, even if you don’t do so out of context (*everyone turns to look at loser lucifer, who did this lots*).

Loving Scripture, aka The Blessed Word Of God (66 books).

Wearing t-shirts proclaiming (how much) “Jesus ROCKS, YO!!!”

Witnessing to others about your faith.

Standing up for The Gospel.

Dying for The Sake Of Jesus and The Gospel.

All these things are GREAT… but they don’t save anyone.

These things may be present as a RESULT of your saving faith In Jesus and submission To Him as LORD, but they are neither sufficient to save NOR are they EVIDENCE of salvation. (Neither is speaking in tongues or having your “heavenly language,” btw.)

These things are like a wedding ring; they may be a SYMBOL that I’m married, but they are not PROOF that I am married. (Aka randomly wearing a ring that you—or someone else—bought does not MAKE one married.)

That said… All people who DO follow Jesus SHOULD do these things.

But again.

You should really examine your heart, your heart POSTURE, and your beliefs.

(Not necessarily every day—once you’re submitted To God, you will feel it, believe me. Lol.)

But just do a little check in every so often:

Do my beliefs line up With God’s Word? (This is a choice, btw! I had to fight my natural desire (as a Mediterranean person) to listen to and “generously share” info about everyone in the neighbourhood (and his cousins… and his ex-half-brothers-in-law, and, and, and. Lol.)

Am I doing the things that will keep me close To Him?

Am I avoiding things that are “permissible, but NOt at ALL beneficial” to me?

Am I grieved by the decisions of others to turn away From God?

And these are just the start!

(Keep your eyes open for a future posting about all that!)

Much Love In HIM,
