Incongruous Illumination (aka “Mixed Messages, Yo”

Posting apologetics or anything ✝️ in something sleeveless or mini or tight or unbuttoned lots sends mixed messages, friend. (Men also btw. Women can DEF be tempted by both bros & sisters! Sexism both ways/against both to assume otherwise, my fams.)

Doesn’t matter how hot it is outside.

(Or, rather, CAN anything that one says whilst LOOKING so “hot” actually be properly paid attention to?

“But um, no one would listen to me if I don’t look nice? I’m not trying to look HOT, just, like “put together enough” to show that I respect my audience enough to put in an effort with how I look!”

Ok that’s really sweet and all, but
1) who will be listening to anything that you say while they’re trying to peek down the front of your tank top,
2) putting on tinted moisturizer and lip gloss or mascara is NOt the same as fake lashes that look like a shellacked octopus, and
3) if you’re ok with looking “hawt” AND preaching The Blessed Gospel — and again, it’s not just about skimpiness and women; this is also to and for men with tight clothing, expensive brands, all sorts of earrings or bling or whatever. Anyway, if you’re ok with drawing stares THAT way and growing your channel with your hotness and not His Presence, then it’s like those girls that claim “God told me to start an only fans!” Aka um NO He Did not, yo. (Hmph!)

And those “beauty shots of content creator thinking philosophically yet flirtatiously” does most certainly undermine the otherwise wonderful and important message.

In sum, there is currently a HUGE problem with people posting things that NEED to be said and shared… but in so doing whilst stealing the attention and spotlight with their appearance or flexing or prancing about.

Lest we forget the verses about hypocrisy and praying/doing things for show (CCM and alleged worship “industry,” I be looking at y’all), it’s called “they’ve GOTTEN their reward.” And, of course, “I will not give/share My Glory with another.”
