THANK you LORD for all you have done,
For blessings galore, each and every one!
You’ve kept me clothed
And in a bed
You’ve kept me warm
And kept me fed
thank you LORD
for my daily bread!
~
I thank you LORD for all you have done
for giving me/strength when I had none
You’ve Showered me in Love and Grace
You’ve Helped me grow and Shown Your Face
Thank You/for
keeping me
Spir’tually fed
thank you LORD
for my daily bread!
~
thank you/ for my
trials, tribulations, and tests
While unnerving, they /get me
To my/ spiritual best
Thank You, LORD, for Your Mercy,
and
For Keeping me in Your Righteous Hand
For Loving me no matter what i do
For Leading me, For Being YOU
I thank you for my daily bread!
thank you LORD
for my daily bread!
~
LORD, You’ve Had us driving around
Every other day we sleep in a new town
We’ve shared with those who had much more
And trusted you, believed You for
Every stone on which we’ve laid our head
Thank You LORD for our daily bed
We’re so grateful that You’ve Always Led us
Thank You LORD for our daily bed
Thank You LORD for our daily bread!

This hath been Thank You, LORD! (For Our Daily Bed) by Siham I AM
ABOUT THIS TRACK
It started out with a “robots trying to find sustenance on another planet” backstory, but ended up being about… um, our band being somewhat homeless.
(Well, living out of our car and bouncing from a motel to a shady (SHADY) Wind BnB (which was broken into in the SHADIEST act that EVER there was, I might add. Hmph!).
Anywhoodle, I’m kind of over the whole story after all this typing, but suffice it to say that God Hath TOTALLY been teaching us lessons about His Kindness “despite” what it looks like and feels like.
He’s told us to take our lunch (seconds before opening the wrapper) and give it to someone on the street.
And not buy something else for us. (And then it got to the point where He wasn’t Telling us to not buy lunch, we just didn’t have the means to buy anything. Like not even a dollar.)
It really made us grateful, and we might end up writing a book on, like, what we now consider to be TRUE ministry training.
…And training for the Christian life, actually.
PRAISE YOU, LORD JESUS! Whee! You ROCK!!!
❤ ❤ ❤
A huge question I had never before heard was “can God Trust you with pain—and you won’t leave Him? Or get mad At Him?”
It made me think of all the times I thought
“love = taking care of me the way I want to be taken care of.”
Giving me what I asked for.
Meeting my needs MY way.
But I couldn’t and still can’t see all HE Is Doing in my life. He Can See around corners. I can’t.
And further…
When I just want God when He’s Giving me stuff—including Salvation—and am too busy to hang out With Him (and am not sad about it or I don’t miss Him)… does that mean I just want His Gifts and not Him?
Made me think about LOTS of stuff.
But for now, here’s this little song we wrote. (Links at the beginning of this rant if the embedded thing isn’t working properly.)
Thank You, LORD…!
