God Told me years ago that anything I HAD to have (or felt I had to have) to be ok—to perform, to feel “like myself,” to be “happy” (or at least not grouchy)—was a problem.

He Said He Wanted me to live a consecrated life, a life where I happily handed over To Him every single decision that crossed my desk.

A life where I was just as pleased and delighted when He shut something down that I thought I wanted.

(And, may I say that every single time He’s done this for me, I soon found out exactly why it was wonderful that He stepped in the way He did (and shut me down, lol).

I asked Him if I was to live “set apart from the world” because of my unimaginable bounty of spiritual gifts, and He Said…

“NO, baby. I want EVERYONE who follows Me—or thinks they do—to live this way. I want EVERYONE who claims Me to live a life FREE of “little indulgences,” vanity, pride, “luxury,” addiction, enslavement to anything at all. Be mastered by NOTHING—even though everything is permissible to you… technically. Things I Call abomination are exactly that, however. Sexual immorality. Witchcraft. Rebellion. Those are lifestyles that result from a heart posture that does not acknowledge My LORDShip. Those sins will cause the unrepentant sinner to—on his own legs and by his own choice—enter the lake of fire. It’s not that they’re walking into hell; they’re choosing to walk away From Me.”

And all because one does not wish to bow before The Most-High God, The Sovereign King. (Is it really worth it to gain the whole world and yet lose your soul? Is it truly worth everything you have, are, and were made to be… JUST coz you couldn’t be disciplined enough to say YES To Jesus and stay in that lane, offer yourself To Him as that loving sacrifice, and just plain finish the race?

God loves you and so do I, friend. I beg you to examine your life today.
